NOBEL "PLEASE" PRIZE - MALALA YUSAFZAI - CARTOON

MALALA YUSAFZAI - NOBEL "PLEASE" PRIZE - CARTOON

NOBEL "PLEASE" PRIZE

All those uproar over the selection of Malala Yusafzai for this year's Nobel Peace Prize, further solidified my assumptions that the Nobel “PEACE” Prize should be renamed as Nobel “PLEASE” prize as it all seems like a bit of pleasing everyone for a certain cause and make everyone comfortable. History says it is not just accidental that an Indian and a Pakistani share the award. It’s obviously the good old policy of the Nobel committee to share the award whenever there is some dispute going on between two countries, made it possible. Yet I too have my earnest critique of the selection of malala for this so called supreme peace prize. And for this reason I presented this cartoon as an expression of my discontent with the decision of the Nobel committee. Though I applaud and acknowledge her campaign for girl’s right to education in her country and her vocal criticism against Islamic terrorism, I genuinely doubt if her activities had no western shore up, she would not have been even nominated for this coveted prize. In a way she should be thankful to Taliban for her such an achievement. She has been presented by the western world including the media as an international icon of women’s empowerment and right to education, obviously as a propaganda poster against the Islamic terrorism, particularly Taliban, an organization the west loathes. They used her speeches and writings to split the sentiments of the whole Muslim community around the world against their stickler attitude towards women.  In recognition of her all “such” contributions, she was awarded the highest peace award. I have enough reasons to doubt whether the cause of this year’s Nobel peace Prize, “Children At  Danger In Developing Countries” was chosen with Malala Yusafzai  in mind. Because it is no surprise that the Nobel Prize is ultimately a marketing tool that is used nowadays to glorify the western interests and other political motives. But then, the Norwegian Nobel Committee is made of normal people appointed by the Norway’s parliament and they have got this history of publically regretting their selection of recipients at a later stage as it happened in the case of Mahatma Gandhi whose name was nominated five times but was not considered. Either way, there are certain positive notes about this selection of Malala. Now Pakistan has to show more responsibility towards the other women in their country and inspire them to follow the path of Malala. Furthermore, it has now turned out to be their compulsion to protect her against Islamic terrorists to avoid huge international uproar if anything happens to her there. Leave aside all these hypothetical scenes. Now with a Nobel tag around her neck, she can live a lavish and peaceful life in Briton away from all the threats of Taliban and other intense responsibilities of educating hapless girls back in her own country.

P.S:- My heartiest Congratulations to Kailash Satyarthi the relentless crusader of child rights and the founder of Bachpan Bachao Andolan that protected the rights of more than 80000 children and has been at the forefront of the global movement to end child slavery.....and yes of course to Malala Yousafzai for every success in all your "FUTURE" endeavours without being called an instrument in the hands of western world........
