BHARAT MATA KI JAI - Let me chant it a thousand times........

After spending some twenty three years in Armed Force, little did I know that roaring out loud the slogan " Bharat Mata Ki Jai" has got a strong religious tinge attached with it. Bharat Mata Ki Jai is not just a war cry that is common in our Armed forces but is something that every proud Indian would shout out loud that will send shivers down enemie's spine. Legend says, during our freedom struggle, there were many such men, Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs and Christians, who roared out loud this slogan just as the noose tightens around their neck or had a gun pointed at their head, yet none of them had ever felt any religious sentiments entwined with this slogan. They were then only one people, having only one religion that's 'India' and most importantly they certainly were gallant and patriotic MEN.....The "REAL" MEN.....!!  Sorry, had to say it......!!

 For me, Kanaiah's speech inside JNU campus brought back rich memories of that famous comedy serial '' Mungerilal ke haseen sapne..'' telecasted in the late eighties on DD......Nice entertainment anyway.......
